Hi everyone.

How many of you wished they could change some settings of the browser which always annoyed you ? Or how many wished others would not be able to change the settings ? well, you got lucky now !

Generally ,you do get a choice of custom installation in browsers, but they are merely a farce compared to the amazing range of features being offered by the Internet Explorer Administration Kit.

Leta take a peek at how to use Internet Explorer Administration Kit. (IEAK from now on ..)

1. Firstly, go and download the IEAK from this site :
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/bb219517.aspx

2. To install this, you need to have IE 8 installed. Installation will proceed normally and end.

3. Start the internet explorer customization wizard from the start menu.
Follow the steps in the IEAK documentation that comes along. ( simple ones, really !!)

4. Build the custom package. The settings are stored in a file with an extension *.INS

5. If you have further changes to do, use the IEAK profile manager , load the INS file and make changes to it.

One of the cool things is that you can brand your version, logos, labels and everything else.

And this is only the beginning. You can tweak almost all the settings of the IE , to any purpose, package it simply and redistribute it. This has three main modes of use

• Internet service provider (ISP)
  
  
• Internet content provider (ICP)
  
  
• Corporate administrator

Its my great pleasure to announce of my selection as a Microsoft student partner ...( sounds too formal , doesn't it ?) Well, no points for guessing right ! I got selected as an MSP.

What's an MSP ? ( hey, r u blind ? read the post title)

Microsoft Student partners are students studying in universities who show a keen interest in Microsoft technologies and products. These are essentially brand ambassadors of Microsoft at the University level. They have access to several cool sites, learning resources, and particularly, they engage in several boot camps and meetings.

Hi, and i am back;

Well, after being a frog in the well for several years now, i have finally decided to pay the world a visit. To make myself a part of the competition ..

I am participating in the Imagine Cup 2010. The IC is an event for the students all over the world, who are willing to develop apps using the Microsoft tools and products.

Bing the Imagine Cup and you'll find everything on it. I am also looking for a team in the software development category. And i also intend to help a lot of people during the course of this contest.

And Bing is the new search engine from Microsoft dudes.... Just take a look.

And in all these days i have been missing from my blog, i got familiar with silverlight, completed a project on it, wrote several microsoft certification exams, and now actively decided to participate in the communities.
